1. The range of new lamp's voltage are from 75v ~ 102v ,The lamp's voltage and using hours will become direct proportion, using hours + turn on/off increases about 10V every 300 hours (about 4 months), CPU ballast can't monitor the lamp's power so it let the increasing speed faster.After 10 months , the lamp's voltage become 100V~ 122V and the electrode of the lamp getting shorter which cause the lamp unsteady and easy to go out while vehicle's vibrating. And Hylux's Asic ballast can monitors and maintains lamp's 35W power so it can slower the increasing speed ,and it will work well even if the lamp's voltage up to 150V, so , One year or more warranty is easy for Hylux's ballast.
2. HID lamp is 35W so 3.5 A±0.3A input is good (input DC12.4V). If input current is always over 3.9A then will cause two results as follows : a. Always over 4A means too much power (>40W) supply to the 35W lamp which is harmful and causes lamp's voltage increased faster b. Meanwhile, the >4A bigger current causes the temperature of the ballast's transformer getting higher over 130°C , this temperature is harmful to the other components and even destroy the ballast at last . Hylux's ballast supply the fixed 35W power easily lighting the new lamps(75V~100V)or very old lamps(110V~150V).So Hylux's ballast can prolong the lamp's life over 2 years . 3. In summer time ,the temperature under the engine cover of a car will be 75°C,and ballast itself will increasey 25~30 °C, so, the total inside temperature of the ballast is up to 105°C, now the CPU can stand only 85~105°C, therefore CPU ballast's NG return rate is very high in hot weather. And Hylux ballast uses asic chip which can stand 160°C , always awake in hot weather .
